The Old Story...
The group was formed back in 1986 from the ashes of the Paride Fioretti Rock Quintet. New musicians joined to bring fresh energy to the band, along with a different, more appealing repertoire and a more pronounced hard-rock sound.
The new band consisted of Ezra Pavan (vocals), Franco Marco (Hammond organ), Franco Purrone (bass), Massimo Boscarato (drums) and Paride Fioretti (guitar). It specialised in covers by Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake and Led Zeppelin, making the most of Ezra's vocal range and the distinctive sound of Marco's Hammond organ.
After several active years and many performances that were well received by audiences, relationships within the group became strained. By mutual agreement, this line-up ended its activity in 1992.
The guitarist then began looking for new members and effectively started again from scratch with a new repertoire and new musicians. The aim was to move towards heavier musical territory, so the keyboards were replaced by a two-guitar line-up suited to more heavy-metal material. The second Paride Fioretti Group was born. Several musicians passed through the group before it settled into a line-up of Tiziano Ros (vocals), Massimo Girardi (bass), Fabio Faldelli (guitar), Roberto De Piero (drums) and Paride Fioretti (guitar).
The band mainly performed covers by groups such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin, supported by Tiziano's distinctive voice and Roberto's powerful drumming.
This line-up performed widely across north-eastern Italy, including at many biker rallies where its music was especially well suited. From early 1996, however, the band stopped performing because of a series of common circumstances and difficulties.
At this point Paride began exploring other musical territories, including the fascinating world of music performed entirely on acoustic instruments: folk, old-time music, bluegrass, Celtic and other traditional styles. For several years they kept him away from his first love, the electric guitar.
Much later, inspired by new ideas and after meeting a former member of the last line-up again, the much-loved Paride Fioretti Group returned to the stage with a sound that was less hard rock and closer to blues rock.
